his/her life. This technique is known as Hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapist use exercises and skills that bring deep relaxation or altered state of consciousness to a person. But the client is still responsive to the questions of the hypnotherapist. This does not mean that hypnotherapist controls the mind of the client. This therapy help the people to control their mental stability even the state of mild unconsciousness. Applications of Hypnotherapy: Hypnotherapy is used to resolve various types of unconscious mind diseases of people. These steps include: Reframing the problem: In this session, the Hypnotherapist asks the client about his/her medical history. This medical history reveals the root cause as to why the person is passing through mental instability or stress. The Hypnotherapist tells the therapy to the client in précised form as to remove any negative ambiguities and risks of the person. In most cases, the hypnotherapist themselves suggests what techniques they will use. But now with growing era, they give options to the client and let them choose freely from which Hypnotherapy technique they want to get cured.

Becoming relaxed and absorbed: The hypnotherapist then passes the client through different relaxation techniques like showing mental images to the client and takes suggestions that if the particular image needs a behavioral change or not. In this session, the client gets relaxed and starts to have a little unconsciousness.Dssociation: fter relaxing the client with different techniques, then particular thoughts or the problem which the client have is revealed and through different techniques, the hypnotherapist help the client let go off the particular thought or problem. Rsponding:Hypnotherapist, judge the problem of the client and make a list of relevant questions to be asked from the client and then he/she reply to the hypnotherapist questions, eturning to usual awareness, Then the client is brought back to its usual form, Reflecting on the Experience; The Hypnotherapist at the end of the process gives audio tapes for the self-hynosis.

Hypnotism is getting used as a tool in tons of points of human nature. Hypnotism exists in a number of kinds a few of which are used for medical and clinical purpose. In such instances conversational hypnosis is extensively used for varied purposes.

Drawing on technologies that are over 100 years old, conversational hypnosis allows its practitioners to control, persuade and manipulate others through the use of words. When do we combine this with Steve G. Jones’ cutting edge new techniques, we get the body of knowledge known as ultimate conversational hypnosis.

The techniques encapsulated in NLP are based on the behavioural pattern discoveries of Dr. Milton Erikson, who founded the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. He is arguably the most clinically successful psychiatrist who ever lived.

Conversational hypnosis is a new concept and people all over the very curious about it. With the help of the techniques revealed in the conversational hypnosis course you learn very important skill of snagging someone’s attention immediately and keep it fixated upon you. This works like crazy and you become the hub of people’s attention when you want them to obey you.

At the same time conversational hypnosis course also tells you how to use the “Law of Fractionation” to get even hostile people to warm up to you.

Hypnosis (Photo credit: zoomar)

cannot see and feel what is going around him. This way he can answer to any question that is to be answered in a true manner and answer what he actually thinks about it. Under hypnosis we can get to the back of mind to the person and you can ask him question he lied about and he will give a solution which is actually there at the back of his mind. When we talk about hypnosis, it’s a myth to someone and some people really believe in it. Some think it is just another story like telepathy or controlling of minds and some people say you can actually get control to a person’s mind to some extent. This a topic on which you want to argue and debate and it can go for longer you want to stretch it out. According to my point of view, it is something what psychologists believe on and it is a very reasonable method of treatment.

This is a way in which you can easily get treated with effective measures taken and you can also have to see less opportunity cost when compared to medication. When we talk about clinical medication it is far expensive to take and continue for treating a person. On the otherhand hypnosis is comparatively a good way of treatment. It is some people’s point of view that they think under hypnosis as the person is not under his control of consciousness. So it is easy to make the person do something which is unethical or morally wrong. This is not as easy as it seems. No one without willing can be hypnotized and can be questioned. Even people with difficult minds and strong will powers are difficult or impossible to hypnotize. Other than that all these things are carried after proper licensing and educational degree from reputable institutions.

It comes under the ethics and norms of this profession that every secret is kept confidential and no one is told about it and nothing immoral is asked to anyone. Hypnosis is mostly used under the rare condition of the psychological disease called multiple personality disorder or dissociative personality disorder. In this case the person has multiple personalities existing is the same person. Through the treatment and process of hypnosis, you can easily treat someone and help him get better over issues like that. When you hypnotize a person his semi-conscious mind is under the control of the person. The person can easily be hypnotized in any isolated to crowded place. The person can also be hypnotized through pendulum watches and through calming soothing words which makes the person’s mind goes numb and completely out of self-control.Most of the programs shown on TV have lowered the ratings of hypnosis, but in actual it is a very effective technique in which the person can be treated effectively.

There are many things in this world which can be used in both ways. In both ways come the good ones as well and even the bad ones are included in both. Now the choice of selection depends upon the person who has that ability to make the use of that thing. It is in the hand of that person, who uses this thing for the betterment of someone or for the worse situation of someone. Like in this world there are both the curing medicines and also the life taking medicines available. Now it depends upon the person that which medicine he or she takes and prefers the most. Like medicine; there many other examples in this world which can be used in the both ways. Similar to this condition there is a state known as hypnosis. Hypnosis is such a kind of state in which the person, who goes in this state gets completely unconscious. That person just gets sleep and gets under the control of the person who makes him in this state. That particular person works like a slave of that person who make him go in that state and the person who is capable of doing this act like the owner.

Now first we will talk about the good results of this extreme state. Well this state has vast applications in the fields of medical. Many of the doctors but especially the physicians are using this technique for the betterment of people. So this state is used by physicians for making people relief who are suffering from different kinds of mental stress and anxiety due to which they cannot live happily. The physicians then used this state and make things out from them which are really making them sick and after having them out they inform them to resolve those specific things and their life becomes happy. Then the hypnosis is also used for the physical therapy and even in the sports. Then this thing has also been used up as an entertainment source for the people. A person makes the people hypnotize and then he makes them do certain kind of acts which the audience enjoys.

The hypnosis is also been used by military forces and the other investigations teams. When they want some information from a particular person they make use of this state on that person and they get the important point from him and they resolve their problems. Now the bad effects of this state come. Many people who have the knowledge about this thing also use hypnosis for treating others in an inhumane way. Like if a person is jealous of someone, theymake him or her do wrong things by making him or her hypnotized. Then if a person wants to have the secrets of someone this is the best way for having those secrets from him. Worse things can be made possible from this technique if the doer of hypnosis is not a good person.

What is the most common problem that we hear from a grown up and not even a grown up but also a school going child usually these days?

spinal cord and spine

What is it that makes life more difficult for each one of use these days? The answer is ‘stress’. The main cause of all physical and mental problems is this one word. Our lives are so hectic, so tied up that we fail to give time to our self. We neglect our health running behind the goals of our life. The goals and competition in our life might cause anxiety in us. This is the second problem. We are so much pressurized with the competition around us, so messed up in the race of life that when we feel that something is difficult or impossible to achieve, we tend to get anxious. These two factors cause all sorts of physical and mental problems in our life. Depression, blood pressure, cardiac problems, muscle strains, joint pains, etc. these are just to name a few. To cope up with this there are many training sessions, meditation and yoga sessions. Rather than opting for medicines, incorporating yoga in your life will help you overcome all these problems.

When are very stressed you start facing problems like memory loss, stomach aches, losing your breath, cold or hot flashes, trembles in the body, etc. All these are symptoms of anxiety. Yoga is the best cure to all these problems. The mix of asanas and meditation makes it the best exercise for your mind and body.

The meditation or other breathing exercise helps you control your breath, your body and thus conserve energy in your body. It helps increase the blood circulation in your body, which in turn increases the oxygen flow. The flow of oxygen and blood to the heart and brain keeps you refreshed and relieves you of all stress.

After meditation, the body is ready for asanas. The muscles of the body get strained and at times sedentary life reduces the flexibility of your joints and muscles. This leads to many problems like back ache, spinal cord trouble, etc. These problems if not taken in to consideration right in the beginning, might lead to many major problems at later stages. The asanas or poses in this exercise help in stretching the muscles and relaxing the body. It helps in keeping the body fit and pain free. It also helps you control your body weight. Some forms of this exercise help you lose weight and maintain your health.

Think for a moment, will you let stress and anxiety take over your life and rule your life with all sorts of mental and physical problems? Will you let these problems make your life a hell and suffer with it? Or will you choose Yoga Retreats to live a healthy and relaxed life with your routine? The choice is yours.

If you find the spiritual path enjoyable, you ain't on it. The spiritual path sucks – and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Do you suppose St. John of the Cross was just kidding around when he spoke of the Dark Night of the Soul?

Whenever I hear some spiritual guru proclaim that all you gotta do is “just think happy thoughts!”, it makes me want to pop him one upside the head and see how long he can keep on thinking his “happy thoughts.”

Take as an example Miguel Ruiz’s bestselling Four Agreements, which exhorts readers to “Be impeccable with your word; don’t take anything personally; don’t make assumptions; always do your best.” The degree of profundity or usefulness of this advice is beside the point; it does a disservice to the reader. No effort was made to explain why it’s impossible to be impeccable with your word (in a society based upon lying to other people and yourself); not to take things personally (when all your social training is pointed at inflating your self-importance); not to make assumptions (in a society which discourages thinking for yourself, or thinking at all); or why it’s impossible to do your best (in a society which teaches you to cringe helplessly and wallow in self-pity). In other words, fluffy writing just adds more guilt to the burden of self-hatred which people are already carrying by making people blame themselves, rather than their hypocritical society, for their unhappiness. Fluffy writing may sound soothing because it’s simplistic; but it’s of no real help to anyone.

Who is thinking happy thoughts? The evangelizing proselytizers with their toothpaste-advertisement grins and their used-car-salesman spiels? If those people were truly happy in their hearts, would they be running around trying to make other people like them (in all senses of that word)? Being in denial is not the same thing as being happy. NOBODY (except maybe a few lamas meditating in caves in the Himalayas maybe) can control their thoughts. People can most certainly run away from their issues by distracting themselves, but that is not the same thing as controlling thoughts. It’s like masturbation was in the Victorian age – everybody was doing it while paying lip service to denial; and then feeling ashamed of themselves for being so “perverted”. Similarly, people are being lied to about “just thinking happy thoughts” – and then are made to feel worse about themselves because they are incapable of accomplishing this unattainable feat.

It’s all a lie – this “Positive Thinking” baloney, like so much New Age cant (oh yeah, that’s another one: “never say can’t!”). If you are not happy inside, then 1) it’s impossible to think happy thoughts (unless you’re in denial); and 2) thinking happy thoughts isn’t the way to change your mood in any case (it works the other way around: when you are able to control your moment-to-moment mood – or better said, relax into indifference – THEN your thoughts naturally tend to be happy). What creates your reality is your underlying mood, not what you tell yourself (not your thoughts).

The pundits of Positive Thinking have their cause-and-effect backwards. And they exacerbate people’s problems by blaming them for being unable to control their thoughts – as if society doesn’t heap enough blame and shame on people as it is … now in the New Age people have to blame themselves for being unable to accomplish the impossible. To expect that YOU – l’il ol’ nose pickin’ and pastin’ it under the furniture YOU – should be able to control your thoughts (and then chide yourself when you fail to live up to this ridiculous expectation) is completely absurd. Positive thinking is just another of society’s lies designed to make you feel crummy about yourself.

People need to be told that it’s okay if they are unhappy; that everybody in our society is unhappy, and any appearance to the contrary is just that – an appearance. This is another of our materialistic society’s dirty tricks: constantly telling people “See – those guys over there who bought our useless products are happier than you are! Go for it!” Having us compare ourselves to other people is stupid, since everyone’s karma is so different. And since our superficial society forbids us to talk openly about anything that really matters, we rarely know what anyone else is truly feeling inside in any case.

This is not to say that people don’t have to take complete personal responsibility to get themselves out of the messes they find themselves in. Just that there’s no need to feel guilty for not fulfilling society’s expectations (including being able to “think happy thoughts”), since society’s expectations are impossible to fulfill; moreover, the rewards for fulfilling them aren’t even worth it. This realization is the first step on the spiritual path.

Clue Number 1: Your image of what the spiritual path is all about is wrong – absolutely wrong. Completely off the mark. Not even close. When you finally do get “there”, you’ll realize that the things which you thought were of the essence, aren’t; and the things which are, weren’t part of your thinking at all (they were too subtle, so you overlooked them at the time). What spirituality is all about has to be felt in your heart, not conceptualized. When don Juan finally explained his teachings to Carlos Castaneda (just prior to his leaving him forever, at the end of Tales of Power), he told Castaneda that he had been deliberately misleading and sidetracking him all along during the apprenticeship, keeping Castaneda’s thinking mind focused on irrelevancies, and making light of the issues which were indeed the crux. This is because the thinking mind only gets in the way on the spiritual path. The thinking mind is of utmost importance in getting along in society, but it is actually a hindrance in pursuit of the spiritual, which is why don Juan averred that the best sorcerers were either completely stupid or completely crazy. Isn’t it true that in our society the most spiritual people (most open-hearted) are usually either retarded or lunatics?

Clue 2: If you find the spiritual path enjoyable, you ain’t on it. The spiritual path sucks – and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Do you suppose St. John of the Cross was just kidding around when he spoke of the Dark Night of the Soul? On the spiritual path, as in the gym, no pain means no gain. Why do you suppose that gurus such as Sri Yukteswar and Gurdjieff and don Juan (and don Juan’s teacher don Julian) were so abusive to their disciples (except for the disciples who were pretty selfless to begin with)? Why do you think don Juan recommended finding a petty tyrant – an oppressor who spits on you and stomps your self-esteem into the mud – as the most important element of spiritual training? Self-importance is not eliminated by having other people envy you or pat you on the back and tell you how great you are; or by having all your fantasies and daydreams come true. It’s eliminated by having your self-images – everything you crave and strive to uphold – trampled into the dirt.

The spiritual path lies in the diametrically opposite direction from the path society has conditioned you to travel. The spiritual path – the deconditioning process – involves prying your grasping fingers loose from everything society has conditioned you to cling to. This is not pleasant at all. Moreover, nobody is going to give you any reward or recognition for your spiritual accomplishments: depending on your karma (people who are pretty selfless to begin with have it easier than the rest of us), probably most people around you will do everything in their power to frustrate you, be jealous of you, or belittle your efforts. As don Juan told Castaneda, “A warrior has no honor, no dignity, no family, no name, no country; he has only life to be lived, and under these circumstances, his only tie to his fellow men is his controlled folly.” Anybody who is really on the spiritual path (unlike the happy-thought thinkers) is usually crucified by society and the people around them.

The point is that the true spiritual path is entered by facing things squarely as they are (not by denying your reality by “thinking happy thoughts” or otherwise running away from yourself); and then by just accepting your situation – giving up the ghost, stopping all the struggling and fuming, getting off your own case and other people’s case and God’s case. There are no shortcuts on the spiritual path. There definitely are techniques; and it is necessary to find congenial techniques which you can practice daily, to focus your intent. But there is no way to change anything by snapping your fingers or taking a workshop or just thinking happy thoughts.

To tell someone who is in great pain to “just think happy thoughts” is like telling someone without legs to just get up and walk. Deconditioning and reconditioning your mindset requires a tremendous amount of time and endurance – it’s not something you can “just do”. It’s also why magicians aver that there is no point in even considering undertaking the task until you are completely desperate. True spiritual growth is basically just a matter of exhaustion, of complete wipe-out, of coming to realize the futility of it all. But there is no way to hurry anything up. No way. The sooner you give up trying, or lying to yourself by “thinking happy thoughts”, the sooner true change will happen.

You had no idea there was a space behind you the whole time, a cavern cut into the rock that easily accommodates your frame. The relief you feel is immense. Your body feels light. You witness the water pouring down inches from your nose. The inches seem like miles. Now the water begins to flow from you. Tears of joy are streaming down your cheeks. You have stepped away from the steady rush of water, from the endless cycle of pleasure and pain you’d been experiencing for as long as you can remember.

We spend our lives immersed in a flood of thoughts, unaware that another dimension of consciousness is available to us. It is a dimension in which we come to know ourselves as something other than thinkers. By taking a step back, we become the witness of our thoughts. Of the millions of steps we’ve taken in our lives, this subtle but radical step may be the most important because it leads to a profound sense of peace.

We cannot think our way into this witnessing dimension. It only emerges when thought subsides, hopping like a bunny from the bushes when the coast is clear. The thoughts that pleaded for our attention gradually recede in the presence of our steady witnessing gaze. In this transformative moment we have stepped back from the flow of thought into the serene space of our awareness.

This space is not as mystical as it might seem. Haven’t we all experienced moments when we’ve witnessed the thoughts flowing through our minds without getting dragged into their current?

Have you ever quarreled with someone and refrained from expressing a hurtful thought that surfaced in your mind? How were you able to perceive that thought? Was it illuminated by the light of your awareness?

Have you ever sat on an airplane, minutes before takeoff, fearing that it was going to crash and that you’d never see your loved ones again? What stopped you from unbuckling your seatbelt and bolting for the door? Was it because you were you aware, if only vaguely, that the thoughts parading through your mind were a bit farfetched?

We experience these brief but revealing glimpses of our witnessing capacity without recognizing their value. We move past them inattentively, the way we might a Rembrandt at a yard sale. But to spend one clear-eyed moment in this space is to observe that the territory of thought is limited, that it is easily contained within the greater space of our awareness. This flash of insight will awaken us to a new identity. By observing thought, we are born as its witness.

If we wish to dwell rather than dart in and out of in this vibrant dimension, we must do more than simply change the way we think; we must change our relationship with thought. We must become its ever-present witness to avoid being its ever-suffering accomplice. Helpful one moment and devious the next, thought is like a petulant child requiring our constant attention.

As thought’s witness, we are its master. We can summon it if we wish to bake a cake or split an atom, and dismiss it when it shows up uninvited. But for this cozy relationship with thought to last, we must keep it permanently in our sights. This will take every ounce of energy we have, and at first even that won’t be enough. We have been thought’s servant for so long that we’ll continue to obey it by sheer habit.

But in time our tolerance for suffering at the hands of thought will lessen. The pleasure will no longer seem worth the pain. And those isolated moments when we glimpse the chains and pulleys driving our thought process will begin to connect like stars in a constellation. As we step further and further back from the realm of thought, we will see it in its entirety and know that we exist beyond its borders.

There is an advanced meditation technique that can directly lead you to having a spiritual awakening.

And that is to close your eyes and notice what is here beyond all thinking. Beyond any thought there is a subtle experience of existing. You can feel it.

If you give your complete focus to this feeling of existing then this feeling expands very quickly. You can have a spiritual awakening within a short period of time if you have the discipline to keep your focus on what is here beyond thinking.

But what happens is thinking pulls you out of it. So many thoughts arise to grab your attention and bring you back into thought identification. The thought arises and your attention as a reflex goes to that thought and you become that thought, you become your thinking.

The mind wants you to remain identified with thoughts. Your attention to your thinking empowers the mind, it is its food.

If your attention is on thinking, then your mind dominates your experience. If you turn your attention away from thinking, to what is beyond thinking, then awareness is empowered, a spiritual awakening begins to happen.

So in order to have your complete focus on the sensation of existing, it is necessary drop every thought that arises like it’s a hot potato. With intense focus, you ignore the thoughts; your attention is completely turned away from thinking.

This is not a meditation technique where witnessing thoughts works because even that requires a certain amount of attention on thinking. So intense should be your focus on what is here beyond the mind, that thoughts may not even arise.

It requires great intensity because you will want to identify with the thoughts. It is a very powerful pull.

Just like an alcoholic wants a drink: one drink and all the discomfort will go away. Same with thinking: Just let your focus fall back into thinking and all the discomfort and intensity will go away.

Because it can be uncomfortable, it can be very intense going completely beyond the mind. And there is a certain pleasure in being lost in thought.

But the more you practice this meditation technique, the more it can become passive, the more you can relax into what is beyond the mind and a spiritual awakening can occur.

So it does require great intensity, great focus to keep turning away from thinking into what is here beyond thought and remaining in what is beyond thought.

To even say remaining does not cut it, because it is not a place where you can remain. It is not a thing or a place rather it is the absence of things and places, the absence of everything known, eternally fresh and new.

And through intense practice of this meditation technique you realize this absence is the light of bliss, you become a light bulb of bliss. Very quickly a spiritual awakening can happen this way for one who has the discipline.

But please note: The easiest way to have a spiritual awakening is through “shaktipat:” the spiritual energy one naturally radiates in the highest states of meditation.

Usually the only way to receive shaktipat is from sitting with an enlightened teacher. Simply by sitting with someone who is in a very high state of meditation, you naturally are pulled into a deep blissful state of meditation. But now you can have this same experience through listening to a unique shaktipat CD.
